How To Move To PhotoBiz From Wordpress

Of course, you are perfectly welcome to make the switch yourself (and the great news is it's not hard)! Here’s how you can move your site from WordPress to PhotoBiz from start to finish.

1. Pick A Template

Choose from our library of designer-made templates to build your new website! All designs are free & included with your membership, and you can switch to a new look with just a click.

PhotoBiz templates are easy to customize and don’t require any coding. Just pick a design and start building!

2. Create Your Pages & Move Your Content

Your template will load with some example pages to get you going and demonstrate the features and flexibility of your PhotoBiz builder. You can rename the pages, delete ones you don’t need, and add as many more pages as you need.

We find it helpful to go ahead and copy all of the words from each WordPress page and plop them into a text box on the new PhotoBiz page. You can style them up later, but for now, it’s best to focus on just getting the words moved over quickly.

3. Transfer Your Images

If you have FTP access to your media library, you can use an FTP client (like Filezilla) to grab all of your images. But if you need something a little less tech, your best option will be to install a plug-in to deliver a zip file with all of your images inside. WP File Manager or All-in-One WP Migration are popular options.

Once you have your images on a local drive, you can upload them to your PhotoBiz file manger. (We call this the “Clipboard”)

Click the “upload” icon in your dashboard, and upload your images to the clipboard.

Inside of the PhotoBiz builder, you can pull up the clipboard to select your photos easily while you build. Anything on the clipboard counts as 1 file, so you can use it as many times as you want without impacting your filespace.

4 . Bring Over Your Best Blogs

The process for moving over your blogs is similar to how you move your page content. Grab those words and paste them in!

You can decorate your blogs with images and backdate them using the publishing options if you choose.

If you’ve been blogging for a while, you may have a LOT of blogs. You could move over all of them, but we suggest taking a look at your top-performing posts and spending your effort there. Google prioritizes fresh content anyway, and your new clients will want to read new posts.

Keep what’s important, and invest your time where it counts.

5. Forms, Ecommerce & More!

Chances are, you’ve been using a plug-in like Gravity Forms or Contact Form 7 to manage your sign-ups. PhotoBiz includes an easy, flexible form builder that integrates with your website and allows you to create robust forms for every purpose.

Similarly, PhotoBiz allows you to have your own integrated proofing galleries and store without using any plug-ins or premium software. You can sell prints, packages, products, services, downloads, and more easily using our embedded tools.

Set up your product offerings in the “Ecommerce” tab, connect your merchant, and you’ll be selling in no time!

6. Style Your Site

Upload a logo, change your website colors, the fonts, spacing, icon styles & more to make it look just how you want.

Each website builder block can be styled individually, or globally using the design settings in the PhotoBiz builder. There are many layouts for each block type to explore as you customize your design to make it totally unique for your business. Get creative!

When your site is ready to launch, you can connect your domain and go live!
