If your address book is looking a little slim, it may be time to do some outreach to find new leads for your business.

A lead is someone who’s not a customer yet... but could become one with a little encouragement.

A healthy business relies on a steady stream of new leads coming in. You can get leads lots of ways. For example, by letting people SUBSCRIBE to your mailing list, or by offering a FREE DOWNLOAD in exchange for their email address.

Today we’re going to talk about a tried & true way to get a lot of leads fast – by holding a giveaway!

Giveaways are easy. All you need to do is offer something cool in exchange for an email address!

What should you offer? It doesn’t have to be HUGE, but it should directly correspond to what you offer.

PhotoBiz Forms make it easy to collect leads and follow up with them later.

Check out this cute form I made:

I made this is in just a few minutes.

I remembered to TAG MY FORM with something like “SENIOR CONTEST” so I can keep track of everyone who registers and follow up with them afterward.

OKAY! IT'S TIME TO GET LEADS!

Now it's time to tell the world about your giveaway. Sharing is the key here, and you want this entry form EVERYWHERE.

Put a link on ALL of your social media channels to encourage people to SIGN UP! Ask your friends & past clients to share the post, too.

Consider BOOSTING the post on Facebook to get more local attention.

Advertise your giveaway on your website, too. Embed the form on your homepage. Write a blog about it. Put a banner on your pages linking to the entry form.

Go nuts and make a BIG deal about this – the more interest and attention you generate, the more leads you can collect!

WHAT TO DO AFTER YOUR GIVEAWAY:

All those people who didn't win still need senior portraits done. And they already know your business.

Start by SENDING THEM AN EMAIL thanking them for entering. (Just make a short email and choose that tag, “SENIOR CONTEST,” as your recipients.)

You can even offer a consolation prize if you choose – 20% off a session, or free graduation announcements – something like that.

The idea is to stay top of mind with these people who are EXACTLY your target market, and who really do need your services.

Follow up periodically with examples of your recent work, awesome stories or blogs, and occasional offers to help convert those leads into brand new customers.
